Amundi (Crédit Agricole)

Amundi, born in Paris in 2010 from the merger of Crédit Agricole’s and Société Générale’s asset-management arms, is Europe’s largest home-grown asset manager. With the acquisition of Lyxor (2021-2022) — Société Générale’s historic ETF business, started in 2001 — it became Europe’s second-largest ETF issuer.

What sets it apart. It is the home of synthetic replication: swaps reduce dividend withholding on markets like the US and also power its money-market ETFs, including the C3M we reviewed. Domiciles in France, Luxembourg and Ireland; one of the widest ESG ranges (PAB and CTB indices).
