Franklin Future of Food UCITS ETF tracks the issuer-declared index: Solactive Sustainable Food Index-NR. The declared annual cost (TER) is 0.30%, plus 0.03% in transaction costs estimated by the issuer in the KID. Income is accumulated and reinvested in the fund. The fund has assets of about 5 million euro, was launched on 5 July 2023 and is domiciled in Ireland.

Investment PolicyThe Fund invests in equities of developed market companies that utilise technology, efficient production and supply practices, and/or demonstrate innovation with the aim of creating a sustainable food ecosystem, such as sustainable and healthy food, agriculture machinery, smart farming, packaging solutions and water technology. These investments are included in the benchmark. To be included in the Index, such securities have, or are expected to have, exposure to the provision of products and/or services within the food industry. These companies operate in industry categories such as sustainable and healthy food, agriculture machinery, smart farming, aquaculture, packaging solutions and food supply, crop protection & nutrients or water technology. Index Securities are selected from the Solactive GBS Developed Markets All Cap Index (the “Parent Index”) based on screening publicly available information such as financial news, business profiles and company publications using the Index Provider's proprietary natural language processing algorithm. Derivatives and techniques The Fund may use derivatives for hedging and efficient portfolio management. Strategy The investment manager seeks to minimise the difference between the Fund’s performance and that of the benchmark (tracking error), regardless of whether the benchmark level rises or falls. SFDR category Article 8 (promotes environmental and/or social characteristics under EU regulations). The benchmark consists of companies with higher environmental, social and governance (ESG) ratings relative to their sector peers. It also excludes or restricts investments in certain industries that are harmful to the environment or society, such as fossil fuels, weapons and tobacco. The Fund also invests significantly in sustainable investments.
