Why we started a blog (and what you'll find here)

Investing well doesn't take brilliant forecasts: it takes a simple method, repeated with discipline over time. This blog exists to explain that method, one piece at a time.

Online you can find every financial opinion and its opposite. Most of it is designed to make you do something: buy today, sell tomorrow, chase the latest trend. We start from the opposite idea — the most important work is understanding how a portfolio actually behaves, so the decisions stay yours, made with real understanding.

What we'll cover

Articles come in two kinds:

How we write it

Two layers in every article: first the plain-English explanation for those starting from scratch; then, where useful, the technical detail for those who want to dig deeper. No terms dropped in without explaining them.

A promise
You will never find advice like «buy this stock». Rebalix records and explains what concerns your portfolio — it doesn't tell you what to buy. The blog follows the same rule: we explain, we don't push.

We publish regularly. If a piece was useful to you, the best thanks is reading the next one.

Author
The founder of Rebalix
Founder of Rebalix — on Finanzaonline, Italy's main finance forum, he posts as “Linusale”, a long-time contributor to the ETF and LifeStrategy threads. He spent decades in banking — from traditional banks to senior roles at firms specialised in wealth management, corporate and investment banking. After seeing how finance works from the inside, he built Rebalix to bring that same rigour to the side of the self-directed investor: explaining in plain words how a portfolio actually works — method, costs and discipline — without jargon or easy promises. He does not provide financial advice: the content is for informational and educational purposes.
